Modern computing has made nonparametric methods one of the fastest growth areas in Statistics. This book uses examples many based on real data especially obtained for the purpose - to explain the rationale and application of each procedure with minimal appeal to Mathematics or advanced theory. Nearly all the examples are followed by comments which contain a wealth of material on practical difficulties and pitfalls to be avoided. Some data sets are analysed in more than one way to answer a variety of questions that may interest research workers or data analysts.
